HUNTVERIFY POLICIES
TRUSTED OUTFITTER STANDARDS
These Trusted Outfitter Standards establish the requirements and expectations applicable to outfitters participating in the HuntVerify Trusted Outfitter programme.
Last updated: 3 October 2026
1. ABOUT THE TRUSTED OUTFITTER PROGRAMME
The HuntVerify Trusted Outfitter programme is designed to identify hunting outfitters that have submitted the information and documentation required by HuntVerify and have agreed to comply with these Trusted Outfitter Standards.
Participation in the programme is intended to strengthen transparency, accountability and trust between hunters and hunting service providers.
Trusted Outfitter status does not constitute a guarantee, warranty or endorsement of any hunt, transaction, service, individual or hunting operation.
Â
2. ELIGIBILITY
An applicant must operate as a legitimate hunting outfitter, hunting operation or other eligible hunting service provider in the jurisdiction in which it conducts business.
HuntVerify may require information reasonably necessary to establish the identity, legitimacy and operating status of an applicant.
Eligibility requirements may differ between countries or jurisdictions because licensing and regulatory requirements are not uniform worldwide.
Â
3. APPLICATION INFORMATION
Applicants must provide accurate, current and complete information when applying for Trusted Outfitter status.
Information requested may include business details, contact information, operating locations, website information, licensing or registration details and other information relevant to the application.
Providing false, misleading, materially incomplete or fraudulent information may result in rejection, suspension or removal from the programme.
Â
4. LICENCES, PERMITS AND LEGAL COMPLIANCE
Trusted Outfitters are responsible for maintaining all licences, permits, registrations and other authorisations required for their activities under applicable law.
HuntVerify may request evidence of relevant licences, permits or registrations where appropriate.
Acceptance into the Trusted Outfitter programme does not replace or satisfy any governmental licensing, permitting or regulatory requirement.
Â
5. ACCURATE BUSINESS REPRESENTATION
Trusted Outfitters must represent their business, hunting areas, services, accommodation, pricing and available hunting opportunities accurately.
Photographs, descriptions and other information supplied to HuntVerify must not intentionally misrepresent the operation or services offered.
Material changes to information displayed through HuntVerify should be communicated to HuntVerify where necessary to maintain an accurate profile.
Â
6. PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT
Trusted Outfitters are expected to conduct their activities professionally and responsibly.
Communication with hunters should be clear, respectful and reasonably timely.
Trusted Outfitters must not engage in fraudulent, deceptive, threatening or deliberately misleading conduct through HuntVerify or in connection with enquiries generated through the platform.
Â
7. HUNTING LAWS AND REGULATIONS
All hunts conducted by a Trusted Outfitter remain subject to the applicable laws, regulations, permits, quotas and requirements of the jurisdiction in which the hunt takes place.
The outfitter is responsible for understanding and complying with those requirements.
HuntVerify does not issue hunting permits or licences and does not determine whether a particular hunt is lawful.
Â
8. TROPHY DOCUMENTATION
Where trophy information is submitted to HuntVerify in connection with a hunt conducted by a Trusted Outfitter, information supplied by the outfitter must be accurate to the best of its knowledge.
Outfitters must not knowingly provide false measurements, false hunt information, altered documents or misleading supporting material.
Trophy verification remains subject to the separate HuntVerify Trophy Verification Policy.
Â
9. TROPHY MEASUREMENTS
Where an outfitter or its representative provides trophy measurements, the applicable measuring method should be identified accurately.
Where HuntVerify requires additional measurement information or supporting evidence, the relevant information should be supplied where reasonably available.
Trusted Outfitter status does not automatically validate or verify trophy measurements.
Â
10. HUNTER SAFETY AND RESPONSIBILITY
Trusted Outfitters are responsible for operating hunts in accordance with applicable safety requirements and professional practices within their jurisdiction.
Hunters remain responsible for their own conduct, decisions, equipment and compliance with applicable requirements.
HuntVerify does not supervise hunts and is not responsible for field operations or hunting activities conducted by an outfitter.
Â
11. PRICING AND COMMERCIAL TERMS
Trusted Outfitters are responsible for establishing their own pricing, deposits, cancellation terms, trophy fees, accommodation charges and other commercial arrangements.
Material pricing or booking terms should be communicated clearly to hunters before a booking is concluded.
HuntVerify is not a party to agreements between hunters and outfitters unless expressly stated otherwise for a particular HuntVerify service.
Â
12. HUNTER ENQUIRIES
HuntVerify may allow hunters to submit enquiries to Trusted Outfitters through the platform.
Trusted Outfitters are responsible for responding to enquiries and for any subsequent communication, quotation, booking or agreement.
Submission of an enquiry through HuntVerify does not create a booking or contractual relationship between HuntVerify, the hunter and the outfitter.
Â
13. COMPLAINTS AND DISPUTES
HuntVerify may receive information or complaints relating to a Trusted Outfitter.
Where a complaint raises a material concern regarding compliance with these Standards, HuntVerify may request information from the outfitter and review the matter.
HuntVerify is not a court, regulator, arbitration service or general dispute-resolution body and does not guarantee resolution of disputes between hunters and outfitters.
Â
14. REVIEWS AND INVESTIGATIONS
HuntVerify may review a Trusted Outfitter's status where credible information raises concerns regarding the accuracy of submitted information, legal operating status, fraudulent conduct or compliance with these Standards.
The outfitter may be asked to provide additional information or documentation.
HuntVerify may temporarily restrict or suspend Trusted Outfitter status while a material concern is reviewed.
Â
15. SUSPENSION OR REMOVAL
HuntVerify may suspend, refuse, revoke or remove Trusted Outfitter status where an outfitter no longer meets programme requirements or materially violates these Standards.
Grounds may include fraudulent information, material misrepresentation, loss of required operating authority, misuse of HuntVerify verification marks or repeated serious complaints supported by credible information.
Removal from the programme does not necessarily remove historical HuntVerify trophy records legitimately associated with hunts previously conducted by that outfitter.
Â
16. HUNTVVERIFY TRUSTED OUTFITTER MARK
Eligible Trusted Outfitters may be permitted to display HuntVerify Trusted Outfitter branding or verification marks in accordance with HuntVerify requirements.
Such marks may only be used while the applicable Trusted Outfitter status remains active.
The marks may not be altered or used in a manner that falsely suggests HuntVerify guarantees or endorses a particular hunt, service, transaction or outcome.
Â
17. PROFILE INFORMATION
HuntVerify may display selected business information relating to a Trusted Outfitter on a public profile.
This may include the business name, location, description, website, contact or enquiry options and other approved information.
The outfitter is responsible for notifying HuntVerify of material inaccuracies or changes to information supplied for its profile.
Â
18. PRIVACY AND INFORMATION
Personal information submitted in connection with the Trusted Outfitter programme will be handled in accordance with the HuntVerify Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Certain business information may be displayed publicly as part of the Trusted Outfitter directory or profile.
Information not intended for public display may be used internally for administration, verification, compliance and programme management.
Â
19. NO GUARANTEE OR ENDORSEMENT
Trusted Outfitter status indicates that an outfitter has satisfied the applicable HuntVerify programme requirements at the relevant time.
It does not constitute a guarantee of the quality, safety, legality, availability or outcome of any hunt, service or transaction.
Hunters remain responsible for conducting appropriate due diligence before entering into any booking, agreement or financial transaction.
Â
20. PROGRAMME INTEGRITY
Trusted Outfitters must not attempt to manipulate HuntVerify records, rankings, trophy verification, reviews, enquiries or other platform functions.
HuntVerify may take appropriate action where activity threatens the integrity of the Trusted Outfitter programme or the HuntVerify platform.
Â
21. CHANGES TO THESE STANDARDS
HuntVerify may update these Trusted Outfitter Standards as the programme, platform, regulatory environment or services develop.
The current version will be made available through the HuntVerify website together with the applicable last-updated date.
Where appropriate, HuntVerify may provide additional notice of material programme changes.
22. CONTACT HUNTVERIFY
Questions regarding Trusted Outfitter applications, status, programme requirements or these Standards may be submitted through the HuntVerify contact channels provided on the website.
Where an enquiry relates to a particular Trusted Outfitter application or profile, the applicant or outfitter should provide sufficient identifying information to allow HuntVerify to locate the relevant record.
