HUNTVERIFY POLICIES
TROPHY VERIFICATION POLICY
This Trophy Verification Policy explains how HuntVerify reviews, verifies, maintains and publicly identifies eligible trophy records submitted through the HuntVerify platform.
Last updated: 3 October 2026
1. PURPOSE OF VERIFICATION
HuntVerify provides a structured system for documenting and verifying eligible hunting trophy records.
Verification is intended to confirm that a submission has met the applicable HuntVerify requirements based on the information and supporting material available at the time of review.
A HuntVerify verification creates a documented HuntVerify record. It does not constitute a guarantee, endorsement or warranty of any hunter, outfitter, professional hunter, hunting operation, property, transaction or other person or organisation associated with a hunt.
Â
2. ELIGIBILITY FOR VERIFICATION
Only submissions meeting the applicable HuntVerify requirements may be accepted for verification.
Eligibility may depend on membership status, the type of record being submitted, the information provided and the availability of sufficient supporting evidence.
HuntVerify may establish different verification requirements for different species, record types, achievements or services where reasonably necessary.
Â
3. TROPHY REGISTRATION
A trophy must first be registered through the applicable HuntVerify process before it can become a verified HuntVerify record.
Registration may require information including species, sex, measurement, measuring method, hunting method or weapon, trophy photographs, hunter information and other relevant details.
Registration alone does not mean that a trophy has been verified.
Until verification has been completed, HuntVerify may identify a record as pending or by another appropriate status.
Â
4. ACCURACY OF SUBMITTED INFORMATION
The person submitting a trophy is responsible for ensuring that information supplied to HuntVerify is accurate and not knowingly false, misleading or incomplete.
Users must not manipulate measurements, photographs, documents or other evidence in a manner intended to misrepresent a trophy or hunt.
Where a submission is made on behalf of another hunter, the submitting person must have appropriate authority to provide the information and supporting material.
Â
5. PHOTOGRAPH REQUIREMENTS
HuntVerify may require one or more photographs reasonably sufficient to identify and assess a submitted trophy.
Photographs should clearly represent the trophy and must not be digitally manipulated in a manner that materially misrepresents the trophy, its dimensions, condition or relevant characteristics.
Normal photographic adjustments that do not materially change the evidence represented in the image do not necessarily invalidate a submission.
HuntVerify may request additional photographs where the images supplied are insufficient for verification.
Â
6. MEASUREMENTS
Where measurement forms part of a HuntVerify record, the measurement must be supplied using an accepted or applicable measuring method.
HuntVerify may record the measuring method together with the measurement to provide appropriate context for the record.
Different measuring systems or methods may not be directly comparable. HuntVerify may therefore categorise or rank records according to measuring method where appropriate.
HuntVerify may request clarification or supporting evidence where a measurement appears incomplete, inconsistent or materially unusual.
Â
7. WHO MEASURED THE TROPHY
HuntVerify may record the person who measured a trophy as part of the supporting verification information.
Depending on the record or achievement, HuntVerify may require information concerning the measurer, measurement process or supporting measurement documentation.
Recording a measurer does not mean that HuntVerify employs, appoints or endorses that person unless HuntVerify expressly states otherwise.
Â
8. SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION
HuntVerify may permit or require supporting documents to assist with verification.
Supporting documents may include measurement records, permits, certificates or other material relevant to establishing the accuracy or eligibility of a submitted record.
The existence of a document does not automatically establish verification. HuntVerify may consider the document together with the other information available for the submission.
Supporting documents submitted for review do not automatically become publicly accessible.
Â
9. VERIFICATION REVIEW
HuntVerify may review the submitted information, photographs, measurements and supporting documentation before determining a record's verification status.
During review, HuntVerify may request additional information or clarification from the member.
A record may remain pending while additional information is requested or while the verification review is incomplete.
HuntVerify may approve, return or reject a submission according to the available evidence and applicable verification requirements.
Â
10. VERIFIED STATUS
A trophy receiving Verified status has satisfied the applicable HuntVerify verification requirements based on the information and supporting evidence available at the time of review.
Verified status permits HuntVerify to create or maintain the applicable verified record and may allow the trophy to participate in eligible HuntVerify features.
Verification does not independently certify every fact associated with a hunt beyond the scope of the information reviewed by HuntVerify.
Â
11. REJECTED OR RETURNED SUBMISSIONS
HuntVerify may reject or return a submission where required information is missing, evidence is insufficient, information is materially inconsistent, applicable requirements are not satisfied or HuntVerify has reasonable grounds to question the reliability of the submission.
Where appropriate, a member may be given an opportunity to provide additional information or correct a submission.
A rejected submission does not create a verified HuntVerify trophy record.
Â
12. HUNTVVERIFY TROPHY IDs
HuntVerify may assign a unique Trophy ID to a registered or verified trophy record.
The Trophy ID identifies the applicable record within the HuntVerify system.
A Trophy ID must not be altered, duplicated or used to falsely represent another trophy as a HuntVerify record.
The existence of a Trophy ID should be interpreted together with the current verification status associated with that ID.
Â
13. CERTIFICATES AND CERTIFICATE IDs
Eligible verified records may receive a HuntVerify certificate and Certificate ID.
Certificates form part of HuntVerify's verification and record system and may provide a means of confirming the applicable record.
A HuntVerify certificate may not be altered, falsified, reproduced for a different trophy or used in a manner that falsely represents the verification status of a record.
Â
14. PUBLIC RECORD VERIFICATION
HuntVerify may provide a public verification service allowing a person to check an eligible HuntVerify Trophy ID, Certificate ID, Achievement Number or other supported identifier.
Public verification may display selected information sufficient to confirm the status and identity of the applicable HuntVerify record.
Sensitive hunter, hunt, supporting-document or location information may remain private and need not be displayed through public verification.
Â
15. DIGITAL TROPHY ROOM
Verified trophies may appear within an eligible member's Digital Trophy Room.
The Trophy Room may distinguish between pending, verified or other applicable record statuses.
The presence of a trophy in a member account does not by itself mean that the trophy is verified. The applicable verification status determines whether HuntVerify recognises the trophy as a verified record.
Â
16. SLAMS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
Only trophies satisfying the applicable HuntVerify requirements may count toward HuntVerify Slams and Achievements.
Where a Slam requires verified trophies, an unverified or pending trophy does not satisfy that requirement.
If the verification status of a trophy contributing to an achievement later changes, HuntVerify may review the related Slam or Achievement to determine whether its requirements remain satisfied.
Â
17. RECORD LISTINGS AND RANKINGS
Eligible verified trophies may appear in HuntVerify record listings, Top Records or other ranking features.
Placement may depend on species, sex, measuring method, weapon or hunting method, geographic category or other applicable record criteria.
Verification does not guarantee placement in a ranking.
HuntVerify may correct record classifications or ranking information where necessary to maintain an accurate record system.
Â
18. REVIEW OR CHANGE OF VERIFIED STATUS
HuntVerify may review an existing verified record where new information becomes available or where there are reasonable grounds to believe that information used during the original verification was materially inaccurate, incomplete, misleading or fraudulent.
Following review, HuntVerify may confirm, correct, suspend or remove the verified status of a record where appropriate.
HuntVerify may request additional information from the member before making a final determination where circumstances reasonably allow.
Â
19. FRAUDULENT OR MANIPULATED SUBMISSIONS
Deliberately submitting false measurements, falsified documents, materially manipulated evidence, false identity information or other fraudulent information may result in rejection or removal of the affected record.
HuntVerify may also review other records associated with an account where there are reasonable grounds to believe that the integrity of those records may be affected.
Serious or repeated misuse may result in membership restrictions or termination in accordance with the applicable HuntVerify terms.
Â
20. RECORD CORRECTIONS
HuntVerify may correct clerical errors, classifications, spelling, measurements, metadata or other record information where reliable information establishes that a correction is appropriate.
A correction does not necessarily invalidate the underlying verification.
Where a correction materially changes the eligibility or ranking of a record, HuntVerify may recalculate or reassess the affected record, Slam, Achievement or ranking.
Â
21. CHANGES TO VERIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
HuntVerify may update verification requirements as the platform, record system, measurement practices or services develop.
Changes will not automatically invalidate legitimate records verified under earlier requirements unless a review identifies a material issue affecting the integrity of the individual record.
The current version of this Trophy Verification Policy will be made available through the HuntVerify website together with the applicable last-updated date.
Â
22. CONTACT HUNTVVERIFY
Questions concerning a trophy submission, verification status, supporting documentation, Trophy ID, Certificate ID or this Trophy Verification Policy may be submitted through the HuntVerify contact channels provided on the website.
When contacting HuntVerify regarding a specific record, users should provide the applicable HuntVerify Trophy ID or other record identifier where available.
